Isn’t it refreshing to see that the most watched viral is a documentary dealing with social issues? Instead of a sales promotion for something we would be better off doing without, or how poorly the famous and wannabe celebraties behave to attract our attention?
Perhaps that is the answer to our current crsis? A greater involvement and awareness of social issues that are impacting on society because people do not see how empowered for change they actually are.
A simple ‘like’ on a nonprofit or charitable website can mean the difference as to how much or whether that organisation receives funding from central sources…
Here is a brand new non profit that wants to promote the construction of 21st century NASA style 100% sustainable space age microfarms in the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd world http://www.facebook.com/mifarms
It would appear that Social Media is bringing us into a world of total transparency, and that no matter how clever someone thinks they are being at hiding their secrets and covering their tracks, at some point or another they slip up.
People who are up to no good are going to have to be so careful I suspect that we are going to have a ‘paranoia epidemic’!
"Did I delete my web history", "I have lost my phone (or other device) - Agghh!", "What if that CCTV operator rips the video and sells it to the press"…
"Was I fair to all my employees…", "How can I break this off without pi**ing her/him off?"
Not at tracks and traces can be hidden or removed, so, no matter how careful they think they have been … ;)
So there were jobs to be had! In the light of this how can anyone defende the work placement scheme? Isn’t it better for the economy and society to have 20k more tax payers with jobs, than 20k people still drawing JSA?
Was it not disingenuous to show someone what it is like to have a job only to take it away from them and not create a job for them to fill afterwards? “This is what it is like to have a job -enjoy the rest of your unemployment.”..
This is why I advocate the fusing of virtualisation and cloud, enable the data to ‘swarm’; ie: Move freely between disks and processors and if using a predictive network arriving where it is needed almost before it is needed!
